Something old, something new, something blue

Just me hanging out in all my old clothes under a tree.

But sometimes the old ones are the best ones and this Temperley blouse is a forever blouse which I snagged in a sale one sunny afternoon on Bond Street and felt so indulgent for but know now I will never, ever regret.  The skirt is unremarkable and yet a classic that keeps on coming out and a little research reveals M&S have a great, afforable contender.  And these boots are my ‘danger boots’ reserved only for days with an average of less than two percent chance of rain (you know me and my unhealthy weather app obsession).  I mean, pale, suede boots – that’s a danger in itself, an oxymoron (or perhaps I am the moron for buying them).  But on days like these, when no sane person would consider boots, out they come in all their unmarked glory.

The bag though, the bag is new (ish).  And cheap – here she is.  And I love her.

Meanwhile at home, excitement is building for the royal event tomorrow.  The husband searches relentlessly for royal bunting and plastic crowns on Amazon Prime for the party he is throwing on Saturday…  I have been delegated to bake scones* (with jam and cream) and there is talk of the tv relocating to the lawn.  Heck, I have even received the Google calendar invite to the wedding party, for two and in my own home, which I MUST accept, this is serious stuff.  I fear I may wake up to dogs shaved into corgi shapes.

Hunter baby is, however, otherwise engaged growing teeth.

Happy weekend.x

I love blue and yellow together so I’m really liking this – I think the tie of the skirt over the top is such a cute detail!

Have fun with the wedding watch party, it sounds interesting!

Hope that you are having a lovely week with a nice weekend ahead of you 🙂
