Can’t quite believe, after keeping this under wraps for 10 months, our episode of Scotland’s Home of the Year has gone live and the final airs tonight on BBC Scotland (also available on iPlayer).
I also can’t quite believe the house wasn’t fully finished – I was cutting skirting boards the day before, hadn’t wallpapered the shower room yet (see it finished here), lots of decor bits hadn’t yet been completed and I was stapling the fabric over the dog bed the morning of filming… but when are houses ever REALLY finished?
Thanks to all the SHOTY team for having us – we loved that the judge’s really seemed to get a sense of how much care and time we have put into our home and we were so incredibly honoured to win the West of Scotland heat that we could not let the occasion pass without throwing a small viewing party at home… popcorn a plenty and some pretty little additions from Addison Ross (these lamps are such amazing quality) to add to the old school cinema vibe.
P.S. Although we know the outcome of the final, we haven’t seen tonight’s episode yet either so we’ll be watching and waiting to hear the judges’ comments…
