I’m no Nanette Lepore

DSC_0978

It’s true, it’s not quite like Nanette Lepore’s dream closet, but I do have a walk through closet.

There’s been this little space of empty in the hall of our apartment.  Add a bench, a few nails and some fresh artwork (all gifted from Fi throughout the years I’ve known her) and a little spot of feminine indulgence is born.  I can see it right through my bedroom door and have my favourite shoes on rotation along with a selection of scarves, Mr K’s spare leads and jewellery.

Small but perfectly formed!

Magnolia Linen cushions – Bluebellgray (gifted)
bench – vintage*
Boheme sandal – KG @ Kurt Geiger (last worn here)
gold sandal – Autograph @ Marks & Spencer (last worn here)
platform – Zara (also worn here)

*handmade by my Uncle as outdoor furniture and salvaged from the parents’ garage

Such a beautiful way to present some of your accessories. I love that Magnolia print on your cushions as well… very lively and bright!

How did you treat the wood so it would not split or crack?

I don’t think it was treated at all – it is very old now – maybe 30 years and it does have some splits in the legs. The seat top is just sanded and varnished 🙂
