Neon winter

In the bleakest depths of winter when only grey and black seem right there will always be neon to keep the party alive.  How much do you hate when people talk about ‘a pop of neon’ (or colour for that matter)?  No?  Just me?

Anyway, keeping it alive with Gap today.  I wandered in last Thursday and the very kind sales assistant, I saw right through you btw, handed me a 30% voucher.  Hmmm.  My browse for one baby gift escalated into a triple figure disaster that no doubt  had said sales assistant smiling all the way to the manager’s office to show off what must surely have been the longest receipt ever printed…  More on that tomorrow.

The last couple of days I walked and saw friends and ate good food and discovered Modern Family.  Then Modern Family ate Sunday.  Hope you all had a good one too.

… or “neon splash” Hate that one as well. What I simply adore though is your unique ability to transform the casual into uniquely awesome. And that’s a word combination that comes straight from the soul 😉 Hugs!

I love neon in the winter!!! I just got a neon sweater, can’t wait to wear it soon:)

BTW, those Zara shoes, I don’t understand what do you mean about the leather lined, but it’s similar with suede pumps/sandals one.

      can’t wait to see it!
(the sandals from the summer were fake suede on the outside but real leather lining on the inside – just wondered if the new shoe version is the same :))

Loving neon. I note you bought the trench on ebay. Do you shop on ebay often? Any tips?

I used to shop on ebay A LOT but not so much anymore. I should probably do a post with my tips and tricks but in short – only shop for brands you know you like the quality and fit of. I am a huge Mango/Zara/Gap fan and know what size I am and that makes a massive difference. Always set yourself a bidding limit – you do not want to get into a bidding war (with me ha ha!)

they’re cool right – I think it’s easier to pull off more delicate glasses in winter

Exactly how neon should be done in winter! i was debating with myself over a neon statement necklace just this afternoon to wear on top of knits and some dreary winter colours. i think this post has made me decide to go back and buy….

Oh I really like the neon clutch against the dark outfit. it’s such a nice burst of colour. Can I say burst or is that as bad as pop? hehe. It just is a nice addition of colour 🙂

I’m very happy with burst 🙂 There’s really nothing wrong with pop, it’s just that I read/see it all the time…
