I know it was a couple weeks back but of course I’m not going to let The Scottish Fashion Awards slip by… what a night… erm, yep, in London (naturally). Well, why not?
I caught the super early o’clock flight down and headed over to Clements Ribeiro HQ where I met Inacio who had very kindly agreed to dress me for the evening. I was literally over the moon about this because I am a huge fan and after spying some sneak peeks of the new SS14 collection I was smitten. If you haven’t seen it please check it out and watch the cute video too – the whole collection is right up my style street with incredible graphic prints, sweatshirts and trumpet skirts (a tough choice between that pairing and the dress I finally settled on), solid lace detailing, the cutest tees and beautiful dresses. Thanks so much to the Clements Ribeiro team who were all so lovely and made my dreams come true.
Now take a deep breath whilst I whisk you through the night… the one stop beautify room working wonders on my ‘up since 4am’ face with Bare Minerals and an expert pony c/o Tony & Guy and piling into Lynne’s room to get dressed and Georgia to the rescue with gorgeous last minute jewels and running late for absolutely no logical reason and to Dover House for the awards (special congrats to Penny Martin of The Gentlewoman who scooped the award in my category) and then aboard the coach to 8 Northumberland and bagpipes and the most delicious dinner and doing that embarrassing thing where I ate my most delightful companion’s scallops because they were just too good to leave (thank you Kelly for being so generous) and photobooth fun and making new friends and live music and whiskey and chocolates and an all round amazing night.
We Scots know how to party, even in London it turns out.
