Chouchou & the Oh La Summer Sample Sale

One of the most wonderful things about blogging is the people you meet; from other bloggers to creatives to press and brands, now and again we’re lucky enough to find friends too.  Silvia, founder of Chouchou Couture,  comes into your life like a bright ball of Italian Scottish fusion and it’s really impossible not to be affected by her enthusiasm.  Over time we’ve had countless coffees, usually beginning with a loud, ‘Ciao bella’ and finishing with talks of overseas fabric sourcing trips, our inspirations and ambitions.  She is passion.

It is very exciting to be able to show you this new season preview of the Hollyhood Fifi (yay!) – the first of Chouchou‘s luxury hoods to have evolved into a piece which can be worn like this, all alone.  As with all of Silvia’s designs the cut and finish is super high quality and the fabric beautiful – for me it’s very exciting to see a young and local designer create pieces this special.

You can wear the hood a bunch of different ways but this is my take, belted and simple, hood up or down, and with tailored denim.  I’m always with the denim am I not?!  How would you style it?
