It’s almost hard to believe Nancy and I took these shots only 2 weeks ago to the day… Malaysia already seems like so long ago! But before we get back to reality I had to share these images, ‘Part II’ of discovering the wonderful Malaysian designer Tom Abang Saufi.
As soon as I laid eyes on this dress in the showroom I knew it was love – I am a sucker for a clean, simple shape, the hand painted colour blocks just sing out and were the perfect pairing for my Hayden sandals. Just like the incredible yellow gown we shot for Part I, this silk dress hangs perfectly and was an absolute pleasure to wear, almost like wearing nothing at all (ooh, hello!). The traditional Malaysian batik design around the cuffs gives the perfect nod to tradition whilst the dress stays modern and completely wearable in all cultures and countries… truth be told I’m kicking myself for not bringing her home with me. The one that got away…
There was barely a corner of The Danna that wouldn’t have made a beautiful setting for photos and, you guys, this is where we ate breakfast (major thanks to Nancy for getting up super early with me). The whole adventure almost seems like a dream…
Hope you like the shots and have a wonderful weekend too.x

Gorgeous dress! Tom Abang Saufi definitely knows how to mix batik with modern shapes.
(Skipped Tom Abang Saufi’s show at KLFW year, unfortunately)

The white is so pretty and ideal for a warm weather getaway! Your set up here at The Danna looks super cosy and I’m crushing on the details with the red batik and your shoes.
