NYFW Day 5 – Badgley Mischka all in white

_MG_7848

And I’ve hit day five… don’t let the floaty white deceive you though for day five was hot.  The kind of hot where your back gets sticky and you stop at the fro-yo truck as soon as you finish shooting.  Aaaaah.

White and breezy as opposed to bright and breezy (for a bright person wouldn’t wear so much clothing on such a hot day – no such problems at London fashion week) to let this beauty of a bag do the talking.  Knit upon knit and heavy with tan leather, this is the latest creation from Scottish designer Laura Muir of Knit Knot Knit who I absolutely love.  I think Stockholm Streetstyle love her too – thanks guys!

The final day began with Badgley Mischka (scroll down for all the pretty) and finished with lunch with friends in my favourite spot in Williamsburg, the Rabbit Hole.  Bittersweet heading home, because New York was kind of unreal, not in the Bill and Ted way, in the surreal but amazing kind of way where you drive over that bridge and see the Manhatten skyline at night or when you eat a pretzel on the High Line and kinda pinch yourself or when you try to cross the street through a haze of yellow cabs… but eight days away from my boys felt a little too long and I was ready for some puppy love.  (For 48 hours before leaving for LFW – but more on that next time).  Have you guys been to New York?  Did you love it too?

Happy weekend.x

It seemed fitting to me to finish NYFW with dreamy, romantic, crazy beautiful gowns floating down the runway from Badgley Mischka.  Lace and folds and drapes and those yellow shorts (get on my body) – only 3 weeks ago and it all seems something like a dream already…
