Dwell home office makeover & giveaway!

Hello home office!  Considering I spend half my waking life staring at my screen it’s kinda crazy that it took me this long to get my office in order.  But now, I walk into this space and it makes me smile.  Thank you Dwell.

A couple weeks back Dwell invited me to share some of my #DwellMoments and I, of course, agreed.  (If you could even see the ‘before’ pics you would understand just how quickly I said yes!).  First was a trip to the new Dwell store at Tollcross to play stylist before choosing some pieces to bring home and one for a giveaway too!

I focussed on two spaces – living and home office and styled them up with some of my fav pieces – hello beautiful Scoop chair…  I brought along some of my own essential props, namely a HUGE stack of magazines and lots of greenery – something about fresh flowers and fronds in a space rocks my world…  I completely filled the Escala shelves with all that green and simple white sprayed bottles and jars.

I added in these super cute espresso cups and was quite delighted to see my good friend Ossie the owl in store (he’s already been on my mantelpiece for quite some time).  Christopher, the store manager, was on hand to help me shift furniture into place so I took advantage and picked his brain a little about his fav pieces in store too… No susprises that the Eiffel chairs are flying out the door (guess we can thank Pinterest’s Scandi obsession for that!) but his top pick was the Marseille sofa in stone – the perfect mix of design and comfort.  A man after my own heart, he favours clean lines with a leaning towards industrial design – guess he’s working in the right place then!

After much deliberation I settled on the Paris sofa in tan leather and there I stayed for a good half hour getting comfy.  Awkward in store, not much.  But I had to decide what to take home…  and what to give away…

Well the Scoop chair was a no brainer and this arrow light absolutely stole my heart as well as these side tables for my ever growing array of greenery.  Some other bits and pieces joined me and I set about, not only a mammoth clear out of all my junk, but also styling my new favourite space at home.  You know when you love a room so much that you quickly flick the light on for a peek before you go to bed?  Yep, that’s been happening…

And last but not least… the giveaway…  I fell in love with this arrow light and have one to give away too – hooray!
