Winter ready hair – the lob…

Seven inches of hair on the floor and I’m starting to feel ever so slightly uneasy…  I’ve had long hair since I was 5 years old.  For real.

But winter is well and truly on the way and I was pretty determined to get my hair healthy and that meant a cut.  If there’s anyone I trust by now it’s Sharz at Sassoon Salon, Glasgow so when he tells me that the best thing I can do is cut off the colour and the weight, I’m gonna go for it (…after building up 2 years worth of courage).

So I went for the lob which is considerably less terrifying because the length in the front is still there and the angle at the back is super chic.  We talked about the stresses of winter and honestly, a cut is the best treat you really can offer your hair to give it the best chance of staying strong against the coming weather and a thousand stresses of hats and scarves and all the things you’ll invariably wrap around your head and neck over the coming months in a bid to keep warm and dry.

Gah, look at all that hair…

  

  

I went for the curly wave on the Blow & Style Menu which I loved and it was set in place with my fav Spray Shine (the shiniest, amazing hairspray ever).  I got home and the husband was relieved to discover that I did not in fact have ‘mum hair’ (men) – in fact I think he called it ‘sexy hair’.  Win.  Seriously, I love it too.  So much that now I’m wondering why it took me 2 years to make the cut.  Why?
