Emporio Armani – when good things come to Glasgow

Amongst all the goodness of everything that comes with a weekend in general (food, puppy time, fresh air, good coffee, friends, family, the beach…) it felt like spring arrived.  And the arrival of warm rays of sunshine was timed so well because this ballerina dress was waiting…

I’m so excited to share this look today for a few different reasons.  Firsty, it sometimes feels like Glasgow is late to the party but a visit to the new home of Emporio Armani in the Connect110ns district on Ingram Street left me feeling all warm and fuzzy – not only is the store architecturally stunning inside and out, this is a flagship offering the complete collection…  in a beautiful part of the city, our city, Glasgow.  Thank you Mr Armani.  Secondly, the collection itself – I’m not gonna hold back here you guys, culottes and lace and leather, the cut of these pieces is divine.  Not a single piece I tried on that didn’t work for me; I really had a tough time settling on which look to share (this was such a close second) but in the end, this perfect pastel nude, the colour that seems so stuck on my mind right now, had to be the one.  I paired her with classic tan leather, with the best solid hardware by the way, to keep it casual but I’m already thinking summer weddings…  Together with a nude bag because, well, you know me and nude bags by now.  And thirdly, this warm light.  It’s been so, so long since we had light like this and the husband captured it so beautifully in these shots.  Hope you like them.x
