You guys, my closet is overrun with summer dresses right now. I cannot stop buying them. Perhaps I am an eternal optimist? I mean, honestly, in Scotland we have had approximately two sundress appropriate days this year… and on one of those days I was here, in Chambéry, where it was a good ten degrees warmer than home and I was super glad I packed this dress at the last minute (not forgetting this was a stop off for lunch en route to the airport after our ski holiday so packing summer dresses was not top of the spatial priority list). Nonetheless I did pack it. And it survived not one but two baby puking situations on the way down the mountain so I figure it deserved to be documented for that at the very least.
What I love about this dress is that it kinda reminds me of Zimmermann in a way with its pretty cutout details and yet it is pretty affordable. The shape is a little loose around the waist which looks perfect with super high heels but with boots or flats I prefer it belted. It is genuinely just one of those dresses that is super easy to wear. And I like that.
Coming up next week – the sundress I wore on the only other semi hot day we have enjoyed in Scotland in 2018. Let’s pray for a few more of those days so I can get the rest of them off the hangers…
