I have to be honest here and say that with the rise of online shopping, browsing and wandering around stores is often not something I have time for, or rather make time for, but Princes Square is the exception.
Take everything you loathe about shopping centres and just delete it from your mind because this is truly a destination like no other. First of all the architecture and interior space with its giant courtyard, polished wood and ornate ironwork would almost be more fitting in Milan or Paris but Princes Square is nestled right here on Buchanan Street in the centre of Glasgow. Second of all the selection of stores is pretty epic; all the high end high street favs including Karen Millen (where I discovered this perfect summer dress), Reiss, French Connection, Ted Baker, Cos, Whistles and Jo Malone are right here, sitting pretty. There are beauty options too and of course I have to give a special nod to my absolute favourite Sassoon whom I have been loyal to for years now and have seen me through many a transformation (including a new do for these shots, thanks guys). And when you have just about maxxed out on all the shopping you can sit yourself down for a bite to eat or a cocktail on one of the many eatieries’ balconies and just take a moment to watch the world go by under that giant glass ceiling that floods the light in… Needless to say, I have been a fan for more than a few years.
It will come as no surprise then that I am delighted to partner with Princes Square to tell you about an exciting new launch – the My Princes Square app. What I absolutely love most about this app is that you earn points just for walking through the door. It is not complicated, simply stroll on in and open the app to be rewarded. Login to the wifi and you will be rewarded again. Does not get easier than that. Then take a look at the spend section and you can enjoy splurging those points on a bunch of different perks including coffee upgrades, a gin perfect serve, discounts at Dower & Hall (where I picked out this gorgeous feather pendant) and, my personal favourite, a special offer on Ice Cream of the Gods at Hotel Chocolat. And yeah, it really is called Ice Cream of the Gods and the name is well deserved if you ask me…

Thank you – it is such a beautiful spot – truly a shopping destination like no other…
Love, love, love Princes Square – but so far away from Melbourne where I am living now – everything from the ambience when you walk through the doors, the leather of Bellstaff (is it still there?) and the wonderful smells from all the restaurants upstairs. I have many happy memories from starting my first job in Moda in Pelle to enjoying dinner after my graduation and many cocktails in October/November (what is is called now?) I am home in November so looking forward to a visit with my mamma 🙂 x

Ah, that’s so so lovely that this conjured up all those memories for you! I really love it too and have also many memories over years and years. Yes, Belstaff is still there as is October (I believe it started as October, changed to November and is not back to the original!). Definitely download the app for when you’re back then (get your mum to do it too!) and you can both enjoy some extra drinks when you visit.x
p.s. Melbourne is also one of my favourite cities in the whole world!
It looks like a lovely place to shop, and I adore your white dress! That ice cream sounds amazing too – such a shame we don’t have Hotel Chocolat here! My friend from Scotland sends me some of their chocolate often though, it’s delicious. Don’t think the ice cream would make the trip sadly, ha!
Hope you are having a nice start to your week! It’s so cold here, we had the coldest day in 4 years recently!
