Straddling seasons

For all those days when we are truly not quite sure if we are mourning the inevitable end of summer or simply in a momentary lull…  Take a sundress and add a chunky knit.  Turns out the day I wore this the sun never did grace us with his presence but the temperature got up to a nice, clammy twenty degrees – you can imagine things were getting cosy in that turtleneck.  The five days that followed barely made it to double figures.  Right outfit, wrong day.

In other news, this Anthropologie headband finally went into sale so I promptly snapped it up.  I do love a headband.  And this one is embroidered.  With flowers.  AND oranges.  Sticking to the ‘taking style tips from toddlers’ theme, I also fancied a belt bag and, in lieu of actually owning one (because surely spending pennies on a belt bag is up there with spending hard earned cash on a headband – aka one hit wonders), went ahead and fashioned one from a crossbody I already had.  You could call it a DIY or you could call it tying a knot in a bag strap…
