Someone get me a baguette

I feel like I am jumping around all over the place lately…  Well, metaphorically speaking, because really at home the only hopping I am doing these days is from one tab to the next creating my Christmas shopping lists and trying to figure out how much of it I can realistically buy locally.  But back on topic, here we are in France, again, but this time Avignon (as part of our wonderful trip with Pink Lady) and the incredible courtyard of Le Cloitre Saint Louis which we immediately fell in love with.

In truth I packed extremely light for this trip, having booked carry on only and also knowing that I would be dragging that case around London for a full day of meetings before I even made over the Channel.  I kept my footwear choices light, wearing boots in London, packing one pair of heels for the dinner dates and these ballerinas* for sightseeing and strolling.  The newest launch from Fitflop, the Allergra ballet flat features the most flexible sole and the softest leather – they squash together to almost nothing in your case and yet somehow feel as comfortable as sneakers all day long.  It would take me a day to explain why that is but if you are keen to know more click here* and expand the ‘product details’ to learn about the tech hidden away in these babies.  It is truly quite incredible.  I noticed you have until Thursday 20th to get the Christmas orders in AND there appears to be a special code going on right now, FLASH25 for an extra 25% off everything.  Even sale.  I bought these* for the husband but cracked and already gave them to him.  And he told me last night that he was planning to put his slippers on for the evening but decided to just stick with the uberknits because they were so comfy.  And he has old man slippers, truly, from the shop in the village that sells remedial shoes and they are even called Padders.  They are quite honestly the ugliest slippers I have ever set eyes on.  I am not a fan.  So obviously I am quite delighted by his uberknit love affair.

I digress.  Back to ladies’ fashion.  Never one to shy away from a ridiculous cliché, I went all in with the ballerinas*, the bretonand the beret*.  And we wandered the old town and I gave my best rendition of Sur le Pont d’Avignon and I may very well have eaten a croissant for breakfast.  But seriously, who doesn’t like croissants?  – Radio silence – Well, that settles that then, croissants for everyone this Christmas…
