Before and after lingual braces – the results

You might remember about 5 months ago I had lingual braces fitted at Park Orthodontics in Glasgow (I documented my first impressions in this post) and now…  they are off.  I have definitely had something of a textbook case with my teeth behaving very well and lining up like good little soldiers and I could not be happier.  Honestly, I smile more and that has to be the best side effect of my journey with adult braces.

There were some challenges along the way (which I outlined in this post of pro and cons) but the end result is the teeth I always dreamed of.  The entire process was super fast and professional and Andrew and his whole team took such great care of me throughout, I truly cannot recommend them enough.

Anyway, rather than waffle on here, I created a short video diary to give you a better sense of how my journey really was.  Video is definitely not a medium I am particularly comfortable with, filming or editing, but I have done my best and I hope it gives a good insight.  Would love to know what you think.x

They look great – really natural and you still look like you. I’m always anxious about changing ‘flaws’ as I think they can give your face character, but you still look like your beautiful self. X

Thank you, that’s so sweet of you. I actually had a fear that my teeth were going to look ‘big’, I’m not sure why… but, as you say, they just look ‘normal’ – like my teeth always have been this way.

Thanks for the honest description of how it went! I’m getting fitted for my lingual braces, the Inbrace company type, in two weeks. Fear I have started having bad dreams about it in the last two days. Helpful to see how quickly you had progress.

Worried though too that my pain will be even worse those as I will have them on both my top and bottom teeth. Wish me luck!

Good luck! And you will be absolutely fine – the pain doesn’t last long – take painkillers for sure though. And you get used to them. Make sure you have the brace wax also though as that was great in the beginning when I needed it. Hope you get fast results too! You won’t regret it.x
