Editing the shots for this post could honestly not have come at a better time. Following yesterday’s orders being delivered and the mass try on session that ensued, I was left feeling somewhat deflated. Of the six or so pieces I tried, only one really ‘worked’ and I could not help feeling that this pregnant body of mine was a bit of a curse. But then, seeing these shots, I remembered that I need to be smart and invest well in things that I truly love because those are the pieces that will be worn year on year and at different times (and shapes) of my life. And, whilst this Mint Velvet dress* is another non-maternity find, it skims marvellously over the bump, is really lovely quality and I feel great wearing it. So I might not have a myriad of brand new pieces to pack for my imminent girls’ weekend away but I do have a handful of dresses and tops that I love and the real challenge will be finding new ways to style them over the next couple of months, not buying more and more and more… And with that I am off to package up my returns.
P.s. These wedges* are excellent. It is not often you will find me in heels these days but, if you do, it will almost certainly be these ones.
