Ok, it is time to come clean… I have a thing for whites. And these two, this perfect dress* and these sneakers*, are currently top of my list. At first, you know what, I was not entirely sold on the chunky sneaker trend but these Fitflop Caritas* just hit the sweet spot for me – uber comfy of course and hefty enough to tick that box without crossing the line into ugly.
The dress is one I ordered on a whim, alongside a bunch of other styles, but as soon as I saw it I knew this* was the dress. None of the others even made it out of their packaging. Instant love. Those sleeves give me big heart eyes. The length is just right for a maxi as we move into autumn, long enough to hit my ankles (at 5ft7) but not long enough to trail along the ground and soak up the muck. The fabric is floaty and moves like a dream and yet substantial enough that you need have no concerns about your undies being on show. The shape is voluminous enough to house a nine month pregnant belly with ease but I already know it is going to be amazing with a wide waist belt when that day comes… in the not too distant future I hope.
Together they make my heart sing. Truly. I said to the husband I have not felt this way about fashion in quite some time. I hang the dress on the outside of my wardrobe with the sneakers anchored underneath on the carpet and I just look at them – hanging out there together in harmony. Who thinks my hormones are starting to go nuts? Answers on a postcard…
