Life lately feels like one long series of forms; the child benefit form, the nursery form and, the worst of them all, the maternity allowance form… the tax return is just waiting in the wings for his moment. What I have come to understand is that whoever designed these forms, particularly the maternity allowance form, is not in the business of being transparent and making things straightforward for working mothers. Following a lot of really great chats and shared resources with other ladies on Instagram recently, I vow to start work on a super exciting post about the ins and outs of maternity allowance for the self employed. Riveting stuff I know. But that’s life my friends.
In other news, here’s what I wore when it was minus two. Truth be told, even with double layered leather on the legs I was still a little cold. I was made for warmer climes. Oh and also, I live in this Jigsaw jumper* now.

Wow it sounds so cold! You do look nice and cosy and stylish though, even if your outfit wasn’t quite warm enough! Good luck with all the forms too – when I first applied for maternity leave it was so confusing and we did the forms all wrong – filled out the wrong ones! It was easier the second time around as we knew what to do and it hadn’t chnaged much thankfully!
Hope that you have a wonderful weekend! 🙂
