A tale of two halves today – summer whites and darks. What began with my most successful Mango order to date (in other words – I kept everything) evolved into a new found love of twin sets. Those are for grannies though right? Wrong. The humble cardigan has become a key player in my wardrobe over the past few months of lockdown and, honestly, the matching cami was just the missing piece in the puzzle. In fact, this knitted cami has snagged first place in my mind as the best cami EVER – beautifully thick, flattering, rib knit with the perfect v front and scoop back. The straps are just wide enough to hide straps without creating hideous tan lines and the fit is spot on (true to size – I got the small). I love it so much I ordered it in black too. Whilst it is not technically a twin set, it pairs pretty well with a cardigan I already had.
The high neck top and matching navy cardigan I ordered because they were on sale and, you know what, I love them too. Been wearing them more than I would care to admit. Alone. Together. Just all round great pieces for a brilliant price. Happy as a clam. A clam in a good twin set.
So I set about scouring the internet for the best around. And whilst I did stumble across the odd option here and there, truthfully, none of them quite hit the nail on the head like Mango. Now, I do not want this to be confused as an advert for Mango – far from it – I have been shopping there for almost twenty years and never so much as a free sock. BUT in this instance, they simply have the best offering. So I have curated my favourites and popped them down there for your perusal should you be in the market for a modern day two piece…
