Wardrobe staples – cream chunky knit 4 ways

To me the cream chunky knit is the winter’s equivalent of summer’s white lace blouse – it literally goes with everything.  My French girl dreams came true when Sézane let me choose something from their new season collection – I have spoken before about my endless love of this brand in this feature AND it firmly remains on my investment wishlist.  And yet, when faced with a sea of impossibly beautiful French style options on the site and my voucher in hand…  I could not resist Micky – this cream chunky knit.  In my eyes she is perfect.

Whilst Micky has fast become my one true love, I have pulled together four choices for every budget should you be in the market but, let us be honest here, most of us already have one, oui?

(Just FYI, at time of going to press this one was down to £15 for clubcard members and it is free to join).

Truly, the styling options for a cream chunky knit are endless (for me at least) but scroll down for four to start you off…

WINTER WHITES

Much like summer whites though arguably less practical, winter whites are a firm favourite of mine.  The little neck scarf combines that French girl style I love with a practical solution to keep warm without the bulk of a knitted scarf.  Pair with a beige coat to complete the head to toe look (I draw the line at the boots though).

WINTER COCKTAIL

Any excuse to wear these boots eh?  The midi skirt has been in my wardrobe for a number of years and it is still serving me well (I have linked a similar one below).  Unfortunately I often I find the drape of satin to be less than flattering on the mid section BUT the addition of the volume of the chunky knit distracts the eye rather nicely.

EVERYDAY CASUAL

Say hello to winter me 95% of the time.  You probably know by now that these leggings are such a staple for me – technically shapewear but not as you know it.  They are super flattering, sooo comfortable, seamless at the waist so they never dig in, washable, thick enough to keep you warm AND the faux leather is an incredibly realistic quality.  Absolutely worth the investment in my opinion (take your usual size) – I wear mine at least four days a week.

A wrap coat takes what is a very simple outfit up a level but, more often than not, I add a puffer coat for dog walks and school drop offs.

BALANCE OUT A MINI

The addition of the chunky knit offers perfect balance to a mini skirt; no chance of being overdressed or, worse, inappropriately dressed.

In conclusion, the Sezane Micky jumper is the best thing in my wardrobe and I will die on that hill.  The styling options are probably endless but I hope you liked these four – did you have a favourite?

I would have never thought to pair those pieces together, but I’m going to try it.
