I thought I had it in the bag. I tried it on and it transpired that, no Sir, I did not. Not even near the bag. And so off to Reiss we went…
What does one wear to The Marie Claire Blog Awards? A great problem to have I guess!
I’d had my eye on this shirt dress in the online store and then whilst I was swithering* my size sold out. That’ll teach me. So approximately 3 hours before our flight to London I found myself in Reiss somewhat erratically insisting that the sweet assistant ring the other store to see if they had this floral shirt dress in my size. She wasn’t convinced, assuring me that Reiss stock quite a few floral shirt dresses. They had one. It was my size. I ran (literally, because time was of the essence by now) to the other store and there it was – the exact one. Bought and bagged and filled with relief. Thank you wonderful girls of Reiss, Glasgow!
And the final seal of approval? Director of advertising at Marie Claire, Angela Rawstorne, tapping my arm at the awards to tell me she loved my dress. Result! Besties?
