Stripes, birds & orchids

Happy weekend (and hooray for good wifi)!

A quick post with the new stripes (you know I had to get some new stripes for the trip) and the sliders which have saved me over the past 8 days.  A trip to the orchid garden and the bird park in the Malaysian heat and humidity was the catalyst in my breakup with polyester – I’ll wear the dress at home again for sure but never ever again in the baking heat – that was a big, hot sweaty mistake.  Fail.  But it’s stripy and I always like stripes.

The bird park was really quite beautiful, almost like a large forest aviary that we could wander through amongst the local birds and I happened to receive some good luck there too by way of a bird poop right down my arm.  Winning.

Kuala Lumpur almost seems like one big amazing blur already as we speed through 48 hours in Langkawi before home time but I’m looking forward to taking you on the rest of the journey when I’m back in the UK time zone!x
