Fashion Week can be a funny fish (that’s a genuine saying right?) – every corner you turn there’s someone trying to out fash their neighbour. Now I’m not going to pretend I didn’t put a bit of thought into what I might wear – the husband would attest that he had the pleasure of seeing both my looks in their many manifestations pre LFW and all extremely similar. But really I had an idea of the key pieces and built the rest around that from my everyday wears.
For my first day it was all about those colour block trews, my loves, and for my second it was the reds – this LK Bennett backpack has been such a staple for me all summer and I don’t think that’s about to wane any time soon (obvious bonus was that I could pop my Birks in there for when my feet got weary by around 6pm… ok 2pm).
So I left the latex suit at home, we’re looking at you Pandemonia, and I wore what I already had. Ground-breaking huh? But I felt like me.
Do you build looks with one piece as a starting point? Or is it just the first clean thing you pull of the floor? We all have those days too…
