I honestly love gingham. Like really, really love it – which is kinda funny since I’m not real big on dressing like a lady and especially not big on dressing like a preppy lady and yet gingham has all those connotations. Anyway, the gingham thang got me again with this midi and I’m not gonna lie to you, I’ve put it on many a morning trying to find something to pair it with that pulls it out of Little House on the Prairie territory. But some structure in the suede top and a whole lotta black seem to do the job for me. And this Christian Paul watch, well, this watch actually makes my heart beat a little faster, I mean, it’s kinda bad ass isn’t it? About as bad ass as a lady in ankle length gingham can be right?
Speaking of bad ass… my best friend in high school, Babz (cause everyone had a shortened name then and if you could add a ‘z’ all the cooler) dated a boy called Bad Ass (seriously, everyone called him that and I’m not sure even Babz knew his real name). And I used to tease her that if they got married she’d be called Babz Ass. Good times. But that’s just a sidenote – happy Monday.
