When the weather just ain’t on your side, stay home, stay cozy and shop the last of the sales… Seems I’m all about the nudes this year – this dress from Asos is just the easiest thing in the world to wear (over leggings, under cardigans, on its own if it wasn’t zero degrees) so I just ordered the navy midi version too, ok, it’s not on sale but they’re less than twenty quid so you can’t really complain.
Slightly worrying is that my usually tan legs are almost a Pantone colour match for these nude sneakers but I am honestly in love with the colour, of the sneakers, not my legs. New pretties in from Henri Bendel should be getting an outing soon… well as soon as it’s above freezing and I’m willing to venture out of bed. And in other groundbreaking news my quest for the perfect nude nail polish is finally fulfilled – I had a random Models Own hypergel in a press gift bag last year and for a really cheap polish the density of colour and staying power was honestly really good. So over the break I ordered a whole bunch of them and found my new BFF, Deep Tan. Happiness.

And, in case you were wondering, it was the Matches final sale that nearly cleared me out – Isabel Marant footwear up to 70% off, these went in the basket and these were a close second, and I got my mitts on some Cecile Copenhagen too which I’ve been lusting after all year, this and this, and I’m scared to even admit what happened when I found this from Zimmermann… Very. Bad. Things.
But not wanting to leave my home feeling unloved I also did some damage at Anthropologie with cushions and the most amazing jug… And this incredible mirror from Laura Ashley (anyone else lusting over giant round mirrors?) is going to complete my bedroom just as soon as I build all my furniture… a series of home tour posts are in the works.
