Catching up

Honestly, recently it feels like life has kinda gotten away from me…  a blur of friends staying and appointments and family gatherings and dog walks and list making and a lot of leggings and sneakers.  This past weekend saw our first ‘free’ couple of days in over two months and it was glorious to really take some time out to recharge together as a family.  Yesterday that all went out the window as I spent the majority of the afternoon at the hospital hooked up to a heart trace for the baby following an anomaly picked up by my midwife (all good though, don’t worry) – the upside was the time to finally edit these images.

Perhaps the last time I wore heels of any sort, for the husband’s fortieth birthday celebrations (part two – a house party bbq) at the end of June although we did not get around to taking these shots until last week…  ever get the feeling that you are running late with, well, everything?  The dress I had my eye on in Zara and made a quick ‘move to basket’ swipe as soon as the sale hit (it is long gone now of course) because any voluminous non-maternity dress that still works at eight months pregnant is always going to be a big hit with me, especially if it happens to be white and broderie anglaise…
