My everyday jewellery – Part II

Part II…  You will recognise the tiny pendant from Part I because, as I mentioned there, I truly never take it off.

Truth be told I have worn and loved all these pieces for quite some time now with the exception of the Astley Clarke locket which is more recent.  It was a gift for the birth of Summer, nine months ago now, and has a beautiful photo of each of my children nestled inside – I open it regularly (even when they are only steps away upstairs napping) and I just adore it.  The leaf choker is from the coveted Missoma – I believe I pinned it on a board subtly titled ‘Psst Buy Me’ and invited the husband to take a look at Pinterest…  it worked.  When I stick to that untangle-able formula of three I referred to in Part I I usually look for a choker style and a longer pendant to mix in and this delicate leaf piece has been my go-to for years.

One of the rings I picked up on a trip last spring – I just fell in love with it as soon as I saw it and, honestly, I always try to treat myself to something for myself or for our home when I take a trip because I just find it really wonderful to have those mementoes.  It was such a lovely couple of days…  isn’t it funny how travel just feels like such a distant memory right now and also so far out of reach for the future?  Finally the Rox bangles turned into a somewhat unexpected love affair for me – first the gold, then the silver and one day I paired them and they have been inseparable ever since.  I usually steer well clear of silver but these two, together, just seem right.  They bend easily for a snug fit around the wrist and have not tarnished in all the time I have worn them which is so important to me.  In fact all these pieces, in hindsight, are great quality and that is why I adore them and continue to wear them.  They key is taking good care of the plated bits and they will survive the long haul with you.

So for summer, there is only really one piece I am keen to add and it is a complete departure from all of these – a cheap costume piece but I think it will layer in nicely.  I fell hard for the styling in Sezane’s SS campaign and then spied this one on sale which should fit the bill nicely…

Anything you covet for the warmer months?  Or forever pieces?

What a stunning maxi dress on you and you do layer necklaces like a pro! 🙂

I tend not to over accessorise in summer much with the heat, but simple classic pieces are the best!

Hope you are having a great week 🙂
