If there is one trend I am on board with for the new season it is THIS. It is no secret that I am a big fan of layering dresses and the influx of knitted sweater vests has my heart skipping a beat. The H&M offering sold out almost instantly but Mango have a reasonable collection (currently swithering between this chunky mint beauty and this more understated option) but the holy grail for me has to be a furry shearling number… a girl can dream.
For now though I am shopping local (my own wardrobe in fact) and digging out this vintage suede vest. Is it acceptable to rebrand something ‘vintage’ when it is just really, REALLY old? Either way, this old thing works well over the majority of my dresses and ekes just a few more weeks out of my summery selection.
In other news my camera and I have been reunited after a four week holiday while she had a service and new shutter system and I could not be happier to have her back. It has been a bit stressful this past month moving back to the old body involving lots of blurry reshoots and the odd furrowed brow… but now my baby is back and, in spite of being dropped twice on the floor in as many days (oops), she is performing like a superstar. Pressing that button and being rewarded with a sharp image is just so satisfying. Got to take pleasure in the little things these days right?
