The May 5

Forever the month of optimism, May brings rosy cheeks and al fresco seats, a rock’n’roll love story and the chicest high street jacket to get you through the (inevitable) spring showers.

Scroll down for my monthly top five…

The spring glow – two products and two different price points.

I recently picked up this stick from Kiko in Buchanan Galleries for £10.99 and I am just in love with the shade (I tried all three and plumped for ‘Rustic Rosewood’) and how well it works on both cheeks and lips.  It comes with its own sharpener too.

For the high end choice I recommend the Armani Fluid Sheer Glow Enhancer (no. 5 for me) – a fresh face in a bottle.  I will definitely be bringing this one with me through summer for a gorgeous healthy glow.  I recently had the pleasure of visiting an Armani counter for a makeover and created this quick before and after video – I promise you this is NOT a filter – it was really that good.

Good food (and great coffee) for a good cause – make Social Bite, just outside Buchanan Galleries on Sauchiehall Street, your new city centre pit stop.  I shared a wee gallery of images and more info here.

A rock’n’roll love story that is literally still on my mind even a month after we finished watching.  Daisy Jones and The Six (on Amazon Prime) has everything you could ever want in a show…  Tell me I am not the only one listening to the Aurora album on repeat?  It has been added to the list.

Was it the title of this article that had me clicking through?  Why yes, yes it was.  For which Scot could ever resist something titled ‘Say hello to the sitooterie‘?  Come May, we all want to ‘sit oot’ do we not?  This piece on Living Etc offers tips for creating an al fresco seating area for gardens of any size.

Would be remiss of me not to plug my own articles here too I think – DIY Painted Patio Tiles and the DIY Raised Patio (sooo looking forward to getting back up there).

Sadly May is not all sunshine but I picked up this lil’ number in Next last month and she has been getting a lot of air time.  It hits the utility jacket trend whilst also giving a cinched waist (if you want it), a generous hood and it is showerproof ladies – you know I love a win win – seventy two pounds and comes in black too.
